Pope to consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Updated: Mar 24, 2022
The consecration organized by the pope will take place this Friday, March 25, during the celebration of penance. Pope Francis himself will preside at 5:00 pm in St. Peter's Basilica. The same act, on the same day, will be performed in Fatima by Cardinal Krajewski, papal chaplain, as an envoy of the Pope.
In this conflict that is claiming many lives: Civilians, military, Russians and Ukrainians, "Pope Francis has invited the bishops of the whole world and their priests to join him in prayer for peace and to consecrate and entrust Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary." The same act, on the same day, will thus be performed by all the bishops of the world. We obviously invite you to pray with your family, with friends or even alone for the Russian and Ukrainian families, and to pray for peace. As saint Matthew said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God!"
